After earning a master's degree in 2003, she transferred to the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where she graduated in 2008 from under prof. Juraj Filas. She also studies fine arts with academic painter Milena Dopitová.

From 2001 to 2003, she performed at the National Moravia-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava and studied fine arts at the local People's Conservatory. In 2004-2005, she contributed articles to Literární noviny and since 2004 she has been a contributor to Czech Radio 3-Vltava and the EUCO Orchestra. Plachká has earned several important composition awards since 1999.
