Machajdík collaborates with leading contemporary musicians and sound artists, including extreme vocalist and percussionist David Moss, Nicolas Collins, Dietmar Diesner, Jon Rose, Michal Rataj, and harpist Floraleda Sacchi, but also with Jon Anderson, founding member and former lead vocalist of prog-rock band Yes. He has been commissioned to create works for numerous festivals, including Berlin’s Inventionen, the Bratislava Music Festival, the German Accordion Association, the LakeComo Festival, and the Pro Helvetia foundation.

Machajdík is a founding member of Transmusic Comp., which focuses on presenting mixed media works, improvisations and performances in the former Czechoslovakia. Machajdík also lectures on various topics in the area of contemporary music, leads workshops, and has helped to organize concert series and festivals such as the Sound City Days biennial festival of audio art.
