In addition to his own stories, he has also applied this approach to several adaptations (Richard Weiner: The Voice on the Telephone; Věra Linhartová: A House Far Away; Stanislav Dvorský: Playing at an Enclosure). Since 2007, he has worked on several collective film projects (Second League, 2007; Monstrkoncert, 2008; and others). He works with the Handa Gote theater ensemble and creates the stage visuals for the Birds Build Nests Underground musical group.

He is employed as a conductor on sleeper and couchette railcars, and so he often works on his films while traveling across Europe in sleeper cars. As one of the most radical representatives of structural documentary film, Ježek strictly defines his topic, the filming conditions, and editing ahead of time, thus creating a film brut regardless of its actual form. Fratricide is his first work for radio.
