Faltýnek Vilém (bio ENG)

For the most part, Faltýnek focuses on cultural journalism, writing reviews of radiophonic drama (radio plays, audio books) and publishing studies on acoustic art. At Czech Radio 3 - Vltava he contributes to the following programs: PremEdice, Osudy (Lives), Mozaika (Mosaic), and Spektrum (Spectrum).

1997-1999: programming and organization of the "Železná Sundays" series of young authors' readings, held at the Železná Jazz Club and the Kaštan cultural center.

2003: as part of a workshop at Prague Quadrennial 2003, Faltýnek recorded an experimental literary-sound collage based on the writings of Comenius, entitled "The Pilgrim Fleeing from the Stresses of the World"

2003: a reworked version of his "Pilgrim" sound collage is broadcast on Radioateliér's PremEdice

2005: The Větrné mlýny publishing house and the Theatre Institute publish Faltýnek's collection of radio plays "The continuing cases of Jaromír Ptáček", which Faltýnek edited for publishing and which were accompanied by a literary-historical study.

2006 - 2007: worked as dramaturge and production assistant for Tympanum, a publisher of audio books.

2006: Czech Radio 7 - Radio Praha presents a Miroslav Bambušek's radio play Away! (Czech version directed by Julek Neumann), with dramaturgy by Faltýnek.

2007: Czech Radio 3 - Vltava's program Čajovna [Tearoom] presents a Czech version of Away!, Faltýnek's documentary "Postoloprty 2005" and an interview with Faltýnek on the making of both programs.

2007: Czech Radio 7 - Radio Praha presents the premiere of the German version of Miroslav Bambušek's play (directed by Thomas Zielinski, sound design by Michal Rataj)

2008: concept for Lenka Faltýnková radio miniopera "Maryška" (concert performance in June 2008)

2008: prepared two programs for Czech Radio 3 - Vltava: a documentary on Jaromír Ptáček with dramaturgy by Michal Lázňovský, and the 10-part program "The Fate of Petr Spielmann"
