The Eastern Mirrors piece represents a soundtrack to the Adam Borzič's book called Western-Eastern Mirrors. May the the book be a proclamation of the poet's fascination in sufi poetry, so has been for me an opportunity to dive into the world of muezzin calls and sufi ritual music. Most of the piece derives from a muezzin recording (Mardin, Turkey), in the second half of the piece a daf frame drum comes into the action.
